Fitted Diapers
Our fitted diapers are sewn from the highest quality materials we can find. We use 100% cotton fabrics or other natural fiber blends whenever possible (hemp/cotton or bamboo/cotton) and our cotton blend fabrics never contain less than 80% cotton (some fabrics such as sherpa and stretch terry cloth may contain 10-20% polyester in the backing). We use three full-body layers in each diaper, for absorbency and so that the soaker stitching does not show through. Our soakers are hourglass-shaped for comfort and are made from 4-7 layers of absorbent fabrics (this will vary depending on the type of fabric used in the soaker, but total soaker thickness is 3/8"-1/2"). We prewash all fabrics prior to cutting, to remove any factory pretreatments, sizing or soiling, and to preshrink the fabrics so that diapers won`t shrink or distort when you launder them. All diapers are bound in comfortable, durable 1" fold-over elastic and feature polyacetal resin snaps set at an angle so that the rise length "grows" with your baby. There are three snap settings for adjustability. Our free diaper cover pattern sews up fast for a great-fitting diaper cover to wear over these. Fitted diapers are not waterproof and will require the use of a diaper cover.
